Yearbook Highlights

Main Building and Hoffmeyer Hall Faculty

Ahhh, memories....
Main Building's kitchen also cooked the meals for Hoffmeyer Hall. I remember
a black 1940s light service truck delivering trays of food and the milk containers
to the service door of Hoffmeyer Hall's kitchen. The driver/delivery guy
would be the same guy washing the dishes and utensils when we finish eating.

On weekends, some boys would wash dishes as a part-time job.
I also was one of those boys during my first or second year in
school ('65-'66 or '66-'67).

The pay? I think was some where around 50-75 cents an hour.

Hey! Sodas were 10 cents and nabs were 5 cents.

And during our last school year, the cost of most
all snacks went up 5 cents, sigh.
